The mission of The Cultural Preservation Fund is to preserve the cultural legacy of peoples throughout the world. Particularly in the developing world, the deterioration and loss of cultural legacy occurs as a result, among other things, of poverty, lack of knowledge, neglect, underdevelopment, and local budgetary constraints. The Fund shall support the collection, analysis, identification, preservation, and documentation of cultural artifacts, practices, and venues, particularly in secondary cities, and among minority populations. Cultural Preservation Fund projects will help document, archive, and communicate cultural heritage, improve knowledge and understanding across cultures, and where possible, attract other resources to these activities. |
